Job summary

Clarke Energy in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. The role focuses on leading mechanical design activities across EPC projects, supporting tendering, and providing technical guidance from tender through to commissioning and handover.

The ideal candidate will drive design excellence, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and mentor engineers and draftspersons while delivering complex energy infrastructure solutions for industrial and commercial

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering qualification.
• Experience delivering mechanical engineering solutions within EPC, industrial or energy infrastructure environments.
• Proven ability to coordinate projects and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, procurement, construction and commissioning processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and project management skills.
• CPEng, NER or RPEQ qualifications will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering and drafting resources across multiple EPC projects.
• Prepare and review mechanical designs, specifications and technical documentation.
• Support tender development through design input, estimating and technical evaluation activities.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage procurement activities for mechanical equipment and materials.
• Support construction, commissioning and testing activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach, mentor and support the professional development of engineering and drafting personnel.
