Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Sydney with 6+ years of experience to design and develop enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. Location: Sydney. Salary: AUD 108571 - 119893 Annual Gross. Flexible with hybrid working arrangements, reviewed case-by-case.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with REST APIs, OOP, SOLID, design patterns, and CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL and Git tooling is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in designing and developing enterprise applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+/11+/17, Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Proficient in REST APIs, OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Proficient with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of JPA/Hibernate, unit testing, and code quality tools.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, secure backend applications and microservices.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrations.
• Participate in architecture, design reviews, and technical discussions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and support production deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Role Description:

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with 6+ years of experience in designing and developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

Location: Sydney.

Salary: AUD 108571 - 119893 Annual Gross.

Key Skills Required

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+/11+/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Expertise in developing and consuming REST APIs
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and Clean Coding practices
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, and version control best practices
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate, unit testing, and code quality tools
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
