Job summary

Stantec Australia’s Power team is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to work on HV/EHV substations across Australia. You will handle major equipment and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, reliable, and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes design, testing, commissioning, and procurement support, with a flexible hybrid work model and opportunities for career development within a global design firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred).
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in equipment engineering for HV/EHV substations.
• CPEng registration with Engineers Australia is required.
• Experience with HV/EHV substation equipment and procurement support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical specifications for major equipment and testing.
• Provide technical support for procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Review vendor drawings and test results for new equipment.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project schedules.
