Job summary

Penske Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to lead our Hazelmere-based workshop team, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality repairs for premium brands. Lead daily operations, allocate work to technicians, and provide technical guidance to drive productivity and customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will oversee safety, toolbox meetings, and development of technicians while maintaining budgeted repair times and quality standards in a busy

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in a relevant mechanical field.
• Extensive experience in the heavy vehicle, truck, diesel engine, or transport industry.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or leading hand experience.
• Strong communication and team-building skills.
• Organisational and time management capability.
• Understanding of workshop financial performance, labour recovery, and productivity measures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily workshop schedules and repair activities.
• Allocating work and resources across technicians.
• Providing technical guidance and support to the workshop team.
• Monitoring repair progress and managing workshop productivity.
• Liaising with Service Advisors and Parts teams to ensure efficient job completion.
• Conducting toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and quality.
• Supporting the training and development of technicians.
• Ensuring repair orders remain within allocated timeframes and budgets.
