Job summary
Truck Tech in Beresfield, NSW, is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Leading Hand to join our workshop. You’ll lead a team on the floor while staying hands-on when needed.
You will coordinate jobs, keep work on schedule, and provide technical fault-finding support. We value reliability, safety and hands-on leadership.
The role offers a base from $115K, uncapped monthly bonus, Monday–Friday day shift, permanent full-time, and real career progression in a mechanic-led business.
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- Strong heavy vehicle servicing, repair and diagnostic experience.
- Leading Hand, Foreman, Supervisor or Senior Technician experience.
- Strong technical and fault-finding skills.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Current driver's licence.
- Full Australian working rights.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting technicians on the floor.
- Coordinating jobs and workshop workflow.
- Keeping jobs on schedule.
- Providing technical support and fault-finding assistance.
- Jumping on the tools when required.
- Maintaining safety, quality and productivity standards.
- Supporting apprentices and less experienced technicians.
- Keeping workshop management updated on jobs and priorities.
- Holding the team accountable and getting things done.
