Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Perth. PDG helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure world‑class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Take responsibility for the successful delivery of the Electrical Engineering scope of work
  • Provide leadership and create a highly committed and aligned team environment focused on delivering positive project outcomes for the client
  • Develop discipline design and associated engineering deliverables to support feasibility studies and detailed engineering
  • Provide input into capital estimates and project schedules
  • Provide key discipline input to multi‑discipline project teams
  • Provision of on‑site construction and commissioning technical support.

You will bring to the role:

  • A degree in engineering with demonstrated experience commensurate with CPEng status
  • Have current knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and study criteria pertinent to electrical engineering, ensuring compliance of design work with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures
  • Experience in the investigation, planning and supervision of construction works and/or maintenance activities in operational facilities
  • Be competent in performing electrical studies (e.g. load flow, arc fault, protection grading) including the use of power system modelling packages (i.e. SKM PTW, ETAP); experience in field instrumentation and industrial control systems would also be advantageous
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients on a technical and interpersonal level
  • Excellent attitude towards safety and a demonstrated ability to comply with the safety requirements
  • Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions
