Job summary

Uniting Early Learning QLD – Forest Lake QLD is seeking a Lead Educator for a permanent part-time position (37.5 hours/week). The role focuses on delivering high-quality early childhood education and care, supporting a team of educators, and nurturing positive relationships with children and families.

The successful candidate will lead EYLF-aligned programs, mentor staff, and contribute to a welcoming, community-based centre with above-award pay and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, QKLG and NQF.
• Ability to document and assess children's learning.
• Proven leadership and ability to work with teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, play-based learning programs aligned with EYLF and QKLG.
• Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Mentor and collaborate with educators to bring out their best.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Step into the Responsible Person role when required.
