Job summary

Quantium, in partnership with Woolworths Group, is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive analytical excellence and strategic innovation within the wiq team. You will spearhead cutting-edge data science and AI solutions and mentor a small team of analysts.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, from SMEs to senior executives, translating complex AI concepts into actionable business value and staying current with emerging technologies in analytics and consulting.

Qualifications

• Proven SQL and Python skills for data querying and analytics.
• Experience leading and mentoring 3–5 analysts.
• Strong stakeholder management across technical and executive audiences.
• Familiarity with Generative AI applications in analytics and consulting.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical delivery of data science projects for Woolworths through wiq.
• Mentor a small technical team of 3–5 analysts and foster growth.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships from SMEs to executives to align solutions with business goals.
• Translate complex AI concepts into clear business recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Apply Generative AI to improve analytical productivity and deliverable quality.
