Job summary

AusNet Services Ltd in Victoria seeks a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to lead cyber defence across IT and OT, drive incident investigations, threat hunting and automation, and shape the cyber security roadmap.

You will coordinate incident response, develop runbooks, tune SIEM/XDR rules, and collaborate with teams to strengthen controls while communicating complex concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands‑on security operations and incident response experience.
• Strong understanding of attacker tradecraft and TTPs.
• Experience with SIEM, XDR, SOAR and NDR technologies.
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux, AD/M365, networking and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations and response activities for cyber incidents.
• Provide advanced analysis, remediation guidance and reports.
• Threat hunting using TTPs and threat intelligence.
• Develop/runbooks and improve incident response workflows.
• Tune detection rules across SIEM/XDR and related platforms.
• Coordinate teams and stakeholders during incidents.
