Job summary

The Network Technology Recruitment seeks an experienced Cyber Security Advisor to lead the uplift of enterprise ICT Disaster Recovery and cyber resilience for a major Federal Government program. This NV1-cleared role focuses on strategy, governance, and recovery capability across the technology stack.

You will work with technical teams and senior stakeholders to design, test and implement DR capabilities, runbooks, and assurance activities across Azure/AWS environments and government systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience across ICT Disaster Recovery, technology resilience, cyber security or related disciplines.
• Experience within Australian Government environments.
• Demonstrated experience developing DR strategies, policies, standards and governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, architecture, system dependencies and resiliency patterns.
• Experience across Azure, AWS and/or SaaS environments.
• Strong understanding of cyber security and the impact of cyber threats on recovery strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, written communication and advisory skills.
• The ability to operate independently and provide senior-level technical and risk advice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tabletop exercises, recovery testing and post-incident reviews.
• Integrate disaster recovery requirements across architecture, cyber security, projects and operational environments.
• Assess resilience risks, capability gaps and remediation activities.
• Provide specialist advice to senior stakeholders and mentor junior team members.

Lead the Uplift of Enterprise ICT Resilience

We're seeking an experienced ICT Disaster Recovery & Cyber Resilience Specialist to join a major Federal Government technology environment undergoing a significant multi-year uplift of its disaster recovery and resilience capability.

This is a senior opportunity for a cyber security, disaster recovery or technology resilience professional who wants to move beyond day-to-day operations and influence enterprise DR strategy, governance, assurance and recovery capability.

You’ll work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure critical technology services can be recovered effectively following disruption or cyber events.

The Opportunity

You’ll take a leading role in strengthening enterprise ICT Disaster Recovery capability, with responsibilities including:

• Design and uplift enterprise ICT Disaster Recovery and cyber resilience capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally bring:
