Job summary

Infinite Consulting is seeking multiple Lead Cyber Advisors for a long-term Federal Government program. Roles involve governing ICT security, risk management, and advisory services for government programs.

Locations include QLD, ACT, VIC with onsite work requirement. Australian Citizenship with NV2 clearance is required. Candidates will conduct risk assessments, enable accreditation activities, and report on cyber security metrics for senior audiences.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan, manage and execute vulnerability assessments and/or risk assessments in relation to information security and cyber security.
• Research tools and techniques in cyber security and translate data into business reporting.
• Investigation, analysis and assessment of security breaches and threats.
• Create/maintain cyber security practices, procedures, standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the certification and validation of systems by collecting and analysing cyber and information security data to support accreditation activities.
• Produce high-quality information and cyber security reporting, including analysis, detection and response metrics, incident summaries and formal correspondence.
• Translate complex cyber security concepts for diverse audiences, including representation at domestic and international forums.
• Research and analyse complex cyber security activities and data to strengthen security posture and inform the development of practices, principles and policy.
• Assess and analyse security practices and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, principles, policies, standards and guidelines.

Overview

A high‐profile Federal Government program is seeking multiple experienced Lead Cyber Advisors to provide ICT security advice and assistance to government, including policy creation, project advice and assistance, and research.

About the Role

Role: Lead Cyber Advisors to support government programs with ICT security governance, risk management and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the certification and validation of systems by collecting and analysing cyber and information security data to support accreditation activities.
• Produce high‐quality information and cyber security reporting, including analysis, detection and response metrics, incident summaries and formal correspondence.
• Translate complex cyber and information security concepts for diverse audiences, including representation at domestic and international forums.
• Research and analyse complex cyber security activities and data to strengthen security posture and inform the development of practices, principles and policy.
• Assess and analyse security practices and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, principles, policies, standards and guidelines.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Ability to plan, manage and execute vulnerability assessments and/or risk assessments in relation to information security and cyber security.
• Demonstrated experience in researching tools and techniques in the cyber security/information security domain and the ability to translate complex data into business level reporting.
• Demonstrated experience in the investigation, analysis and assessment of security breaches and/or threats and associated mitigation strategies.
• Experience in creation/maintenance of cyber security and/or information security practices, procedures, standards and guidelines.
