Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Lead Confluent Kafka Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise-grade event-driven architectures using the Confluent Platform. You will lead delivery across greenfield and brownfield environments, mentoring teams and guiding architectural decisions.

You will design and deploy Kafka clusters, ensure security and scalability, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust integration solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing and implementing technology solutions.
• 2+ years hands-on with the Confluent Kafka platform.
• Proven experience delivering Kafka-based integration in enterprise environments.
• Strong integration experience with databases, messaging systems, cloud data stores, APIs.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Confluent Kafka clusters across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid.
• Define and implement Confluent architectures with capacity planning for enterprise workloads.
• Develop secure, high-performance, scalable event-driven solutions using Kafka.
• Develop Kafka Streams applications and real-time data processing.
• Integrate Confluent Kafka with databases, messaging, cloud stores, APIs, and apps.
• Mentor, lead, and guide project teams; participate in design reviews.
