Qualifications

• Instructs athletes in fundamentals, training, and strategies for success.
• Maintains records and coordinates with the athletic trainer for forms and consent.
• Promotes sportsmanship and positive attitudes among athletes, parents, and officials.
• Attends VHSL coaching clinics and maintains appropriate certifications.

Responsibilities

• Instructs athletes in fundamental skills, training, and strategies for success.
• Assigns duties to coaching staff and evaluates assistants at season end.
• Organizes meetings with parents and the community before the season starts.
• Contacts colleges on behalf of athletes and provides candid appraisals of potential.
• Ensures safety and supervision of athletes during practices and competitions.
• Maintains equipment and secures facilities before/after events.
