Job summary

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service – Gladstone, QLD, is recruiting a Clinical Nurse for our Nurse Led Walk-in Clinic. You will provide safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care for adults and children over 2 years with non‑life‑threatening illnesses and injuries, working autonomously with sound judgement.

You will lead, mentor nursing staff, contribute to quality improvement, and support education and research.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMBA and eligible to practice in Queensland.
• Strong assessment, clinical and problem-solving skills.
• Emergency/acute care or minor injury/illness experience is a bonus.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centred care.
• Willing to grow skills, support education and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead with confidence and provide autonomous, high-quality care.
• Assess and manage minor injuries and illnesses with patient safety at heart.
• Support and mentor nursing staff across the team.
• Contribute to clinical practice, education, and research, and assist with leadership when needed.
