Job summary

TAL Australia is seeking an IAM Engineering Lead to strengthen customer identity security across TAL’s digital and cloud services. You will lead secure CIAM capabilities, drive automation, and collaborate with Technology and Security teams to deliver trusted experiences for customers and partners.

The role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne, offering leadership in modern identity security practices and a culture focused on continuous improvement and accountability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ IAM, CIAM or cyber security engineering experience.
• Okta, Auth0 or comparable CIAM platform experience.
• Modern identity security practices.
• Automation, scripting and integration capability.
• Leadership and collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead secure, scalable CIAM capabilities that protect TAL’s customers and digital ecosystem.
• Strengthen identity controls to reduce fraud, account takeover risk and governance gaps.
• Drive automation and modern engineering practices that improve reliability, efficiency and service quality.
• Embed secure, low-friction authentication journeys aligned to Zero Trust and customer needs.
• Partner across Technology, Security and Digital teams to deliver sustainable identity security outcomes.
• Develop engineering capability and foster accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
