Job summary

PJG Frawley Construction in Canberra is seeking an experienced Carpenter/Builder to join our team. You’ll run jobs, plan ahead, and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.

You’ll work on a mix of residential and commercial projects, including renovations, maintenance, and small builds. You will supervise other workers, order materials, and ensure work is completed to a high standard while keeping clear communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Carpenter (essential).
• Strong experience across carpentry, maintenance, and general building.
• Able to run jobs independently and take ownership of your work.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, professional, and takes pride in quality finishes.
• Strong communication and team attitude.
• Driver’s licence (required).

Responsibilities

• Running and delivering small renovation and maintenance jobs
• General carpentry: framing (timber & metal), trusses, fit-outs, extensions
• Working across residential and commercial sites
• Handling defect and remediation work
• Supervising and guiding other workers when required
• Ordering and coordinating materials with suppliers
• Following scope of works and ensuring jobs are completed to a high standard
• Keeping clear communication with the team and clients
