Job summary

Cranbrook Workshop, part of the Robert Plumb Collective, is seeking a Floor Manager in our Botany workshop. You’ll oversee daily cabinetmaking operations, coordinate production, and lead skilled cabinet makers to deliver premium joinery projects. A strong background in cabinetry and craftsmanship is essential.

This is a full-time, on-site role. You will mentor apprentices, manage deadlines, and ensure safety and quality across projects from design to delivery.

Qualifications

• Qualified cabinet maker or joiner with hands-on experience in a workshop environment.
• Experience supervising a small team and coordinating multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to mentor and support apprentices in a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop production and workflow.
• Lead and support a team of cabinet makers.
• Mentor and guide apprentices in best practices.
• Monitor production schedules and project deadlines.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain a safe and organised workshop.
• Coordinate with project teams, installers, and director for smooth delivery.
• Assist with day-to-day manufacturing tasks.
