Job summary

SA Health’s Central Adelaide Local Health Network SA Pathology seeks a Senior Calibration Engineering Technician to ensure biomedical and electromechanical equipment is safe, accurate, and reliable. You will diagnose issues, perform calibrations and repairs, and document results to standards, supporting laboratory staff and contractors.

Qualifications

• Maintenance, repair, calibration and acquisition of complex biomedical and electromechanical equipment to strict engineering standards.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and relevant Australian and International Standards and Codes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prepare complex technical reports, specifications and tender evaluations.
• A self-motivated, adaptable and safety-focused approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a self-managed team, deliver quality outcomes under pressure and embrace continuous technological change.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues and perform repairs and calibrations.
• Document results in line with standards.
• Provide technical advice and responsive support to staff and contractors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and stay updated on technologies and industry developments.
• Work across calibration, planned and remedial maintenance.
