Job summary

Energy Vault is seeking a Lead Commissioning Technician for Australia and the APAC region to support installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover of Battery Energy Storage Systems. This hands‑on role requires an A‑grade electrician license, strong practical commissioning experience, and the ability to work safely on complex energy storage and automation systems.

You will coordinate with site supervisors, EPC contractors, and vendors, travel up to 75%, and contribute to

Qualifications

Hands‑on electrical commissioning and testing experience in power/automation environments.
Experience with utility‑scale or industrial systems and high/low voltage equipment.
Ability to read schematics, single‑line diagrams, and commissioning docs.

Responsibilities

Perform hands‑on commissioning, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and validation of BESS equipment and related infrastructure.
Support energization, functional testing, loop checks, and system integration testing on site.
Work safely, follow energy Vault policies, and adhere to local regulations and safety standards.
Interpret electrical drawings and vendor documentation; document results and punch lists.
Troubleshoot field issues with engineers, vendors, and site teams to protect schedule and quality.
Assist with handover, as‑built markups, and transition to operations teams.
