Job summary

West Pilbara Conveyors is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Belt Splicer for a permanent 2/2 FIFO roster from Perth. You will play a hands-on leadership role supporting the Site Supervisor and delivering safe, high-quality conveyor belt maintenance and splicing on site.

The role suits an experienced Level 3 Belt Splicer who enjoys working on the tools while mentoring crew. Desirable S26 qualification; training available on starting, with clear pathways to grow with WPC as the business expands.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience as a Level 3 Belt Splicer.
• S26 qualification – desirable but may be attained after starting.
• Previous leading-hand or supervisor experience in conveyor maintenance is desirable.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Belt Splicers and crew during site activities.
• Coordinate day-to-day conveyor belt maintenance, repairs, splicing and change-outs.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and maintain workmanship standards.
• Ensure work is performed safely and per site procedures and client requirements.
• Conduct pre-starts, task planning, JHAs and site documentation.
• Monitor progress, allocate crew resources, adjust priorities.
