Job summary

Maestro Hospitality in Manly seeks an experienced Head Barista to own the coffee program, lead a team of baristas and deliver exceptional espresso drinks across high-volume service. You will oversee dialing in, milk texture, latte art and stock control, ensuring a smooth guest experience from morning through dinner.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a specialty coffee or high-volume café environment.
• Fluent spoken English.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, dialling in and grinder calibration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the caffetteria team and set exceptional coffee and service standards.
• Dial in daily and maintain consistency across every extraction.
• Deliver espresso-based beverages at high volume with quality.
• Train, coach and develop junior baristas.
• Create clear coffee procedures and maintain consistency across the team.
• Troubleshoot coffee equipment and ensure machinery is maintained to a high standard.
• Manage coffee, milk and related stock levels and ordering.
• Minimise wastage and maintain strong product controls.
• Collaborate with FOH and management to create a seamless guest experience.
