Job summary

NSW Health, through the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) program, seeks an Associate Director to lead integration and interoperability across statewide EMR systems. You will coordinate complex delivery streams, engage vendors and clinical stakeholders, and shape scalable digital health solutions.

This senior role requires expertise in HL7, FHIR and interoperability standards, with a track record of aligning technical designs to program timelines and clinical safety.

• Understanding of clinical workflows and EMR integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver highly complex, large‑scale EMR integration and interoperability initiatives for SDPR, coordinating multiple delivery streams, vendors and stakeholders.
• Provide expert leadership across the full project lifecycle, including planning, risk management, benefits realization and organisational change in a public sector environment.
• Act as the central point of coordination for integration dependencies, risks and sequencing across SDPR and related programs.
• Work closely with solution architecture and technical teams to ensure interoperability designs are deliverable, fit for purpose and aligned with program timelines.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships across NSW Health and external stakeholders, using advanced communication and negotiation skills to resolve issues and support project success.
• Offer high‑level strategic advice on technical solutions, ensuring alignment with all of NSW Health priorities, statewide directions and evolving technology landscapes.
