Job summary

Blue Mountains City Council is seeking a Facilities Cleansing Officer to join the team responsible for cleansing public facilities (toilets) in the Blue Mountains. You will perform cleaning duties to a high standard and interact politely with colleagues and the public in a busy, outdoor environment.

A current driver’s licence is required and you will bring proven experience in cleaning methods, including facility cleansing, with the ability to follow schedules and operate related technology.

Position Description

Council is seeking a Facilities Cleansing Officer to join the team responsible for the cleansing of public facilities (toilets) in the Blue Mountains. The position will undertake general cleaning duties to a high standard. As the position will be required to work in public places an ability to communicate effectively and politely with colleagues and members of the public is required.

A current driver's licence is required and to be successful you will have proven experience in, and a sound knowledge of, cleaning methods and procedures, including facility cleansing. You will also have the capacity to interpret and follow cleaning schedules and the use of technology.

Remuneration: base salary commencing at $54,601 gross per annum
+ adverse working conditions allowance of $2,839 gross per annum
+ 12% superannuation
+ annual performance-based salary increases / bonus (1-3.5%)
+ annual award increase
