Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking an Appian Developer/Architect/Engineer to design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade Appian solutions within large-scale transformation programs. You will build scalable workflows, interfaces, and integrations while ensuring security, performance, and standards compliance.

Role involves collaborating with architects, analysts, and delivery teams across global programs, mentoring juniors and contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in enterprise application development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in the Appian Platform.
• Experience designing Appian applications, process models, interfaces, records, reports, and integrations.
• Familiarity with Appian best practices, reusable components, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, and system integration patterns.
• Good understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modelling concepts.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience collaborating with offshore and cross-functional delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Appian applications aligned with enterprise standards.
• Translate requirements into scalable Appian solutions.
• Build and maintain Appian process models, records, interfaces, reports, rules, and integrations.
• Develop integrations with core enterprise systems using REST/SOAP services.
• Ensure performance, security, scalability, and maintainability via best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, product owners, and technical teams.
• Participate in design discussions, estimations, reviews, and sprints.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support CI/CD, release management, and environment deployment.
• Prepare technical documentation and deployment guides.
• Promote coding standards and reusable frameworks; mentor juniors.
