Job summary

Clayton Utz’s Perth Real Estate team invites a lawyer to advise renewable energy clients and oversee development and investment matters. You will manage property transactions across public and private sectors and contribute to a dynamic commercial property practice.

You will work closely with our Perth colleagues, gaining hands-on experience across development, joint ventures, acquisitions and divestments while fostering strong client relationships and delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Broad property experience across different types of property matters.
• 2–5 years PQE with strong academic record.

Want to work on matters that change skylines and help drive the energy transition? In our Perth Real Estate team, you'll advise renewable energy clients, work on large-scale infrastructure developments and run significant property transactions across the public and private sectors.

The role We're looking for a Lawyer to join our Real Estate team in Perth whilst we are in an exciting period of growth. Working closely with Clare van Drunen, you'll get hands‑on experience across a varied and challenging mix of development and investment matters. You will be responsible for managing reasonably sized property transactions and will be encouraged to foster great client relationships, both externally and internally. This role will provide exposure to an interesting variety of development and investment matters, ranging from major commercial property development and project work to significant joint ventures, acquisitions and divestments across different asset classes. You'll also partner with a variety of teams in our Perth office including our Corporate, Energy and Resources and Environment teams. We're open to discussing flexible working arrangements for this position.

What you’ll bring Broad property experience across different types of property matters, ideally with 2–5 years’ PQE A strong academic record, excellent client‑facing skills and sound knowledge of the key legislation affecting property transactions A strong grasp of core real‑estate principles, and the confidence to challenge the status quo Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication with internal and external clients Strong time and project management skills A genuine team player You’re comfortable working on your own when needed, you care about the detail, and you take pride in providing outstanding service to our clients.
