Qualifications

• Ability to work directly with government stakeholders and senior clients.
• Collaborative approach and mentoring junior lawyers.
• Eligible for AGSVA security clearance.

The Opportunity

This role offers exposure to a diverse range of sophisticated disputes and advisory matters, including:

• Government-related litigation and disputes
• Class actions and significant civil claims
• Regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings
• Complex commercial disputes involving construction, infrastructure, technology and procurement
• Merits review and judicial review matters
• Commissions, inquiries and investigations
• Strategic dispute resolution and risk advisory work

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• At least 1+ year PQE in litigation, disputes, regulatory or administrative law in a Commonwealth Government context
• Experience gained within private practice, government, or a public sector legal environment
• Strong analytical, drafting and problem-solving skills
• Commercial acumen and sound strategic judgment
• Confidence working directly with government stakeholders, senior decision-makers and clients
• The ability to manage complex matters with a high degree of autonomy
• A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in mentoring junior lawyers
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance
