Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857, and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. About the Role

Rosebank College, a school of Good Samaritan Education, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Languages Teacher (French) to join the Languages Department in a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) capacity for Terms 1, 2 and 3, 2027.

There may be an opportunity to extend the appointment into Term 4, 2027, subject to the College’s operational requirements.

Reporting to the Languages Coordinator, the successful candidate must be suitably qualified and experienced to teach French through to Year 12. The ability to teach an additional subject area is highly desirable.

The Languages Teacher (French) will play an active role within a dynamic and collaborative Languages Department, teaching across a range of year groups and contributing to the team's broader responsibilities under the guidance of the Languages Coordinator. The faculty is highly successful and fosters a culture of continuous improvement, underpinned by a strong commitment to student-centered learning.

Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated qualifications, experience and capacity to teach French through to Year 12
  • Ability to teach an additional subject area is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices that promote student engagement and academic excellence
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and data-informed teaching practice
  • Sound knowledge of NESA curriculum requirements for French, including Stage 6
  • Proven ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a team
  • Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Commitment to child safeguarding principles
  • Willingness to actively support the Catholic ethos and mission of the College
