Job summary

Target Business Services in WA seeks a skilled Landscape Gardener to join our Perth-area team. You will work on residential and commercial projects, preparing seedbeds, planting, and laying turf and artificial grass to client specifications.

Experience with earthworks, paving, and garden edging is a plus. You will design layouts, select plants, and maintain ongoing site quality while adhering to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III with 2 years on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV.
• Three years of relevant landscaping/horticulture experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
• At least one year of experience in landscaping, horticulture, or gardening.
• Sound knowledge of plant care and turf management.
• Ability to operate landscaping tools and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare landscaping plans and schedules, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.
• Prepare seedbeds and growing sites for planting.
• Plant trees, bushes, hedges, flowers, and bulbs in alignment with client specifications.
• Prepare lawn areas by spreading topsoil, planting grass seeds, and laying instant turf or artificial grass.
• Install and maintain hardscape features, including paving, patios, and garden edging.
• Monitor plant health, applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as necessary.
• Maintain garden beds, pruning plants, and removing weeds to ensure optimum growth and appearance.
• Operate machinery and tools, including lawnmowers, trimmers, and other specialised equipment.
• Select and source appropriate plants, materials, and products for each project.
• Conduct minor earthworks and soil preparation tasks.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping goals and provide tailored solutions.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

As a Landscape Gardener, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining various landscaping projects, including creating seedbeds, planting, and installing lawns and artificial turf.
