Job summary

AJ Landscape Construction is seeking a reliable apprentice to join our small team on a full-time basis in Geelong and surrounding areas. You will learn hands-on landscaping skills on a variety of projects.

The role offers on-the-job training, full award wages, and opportunities to grow into a skilled tradesperson as you complete a Certificate III in Landscape Construction. No prior experience required; open to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd-year apprentices.

Qualifications

• Keen to learn and willing to do hard work.
• Positive attitude and ability to take direction.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Physically fit and comfortable outdoors in all weather.
• Eligible to undertake a Certificate III in Landscape Construction.
• No experience; 1st–3rd year apprentices considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction of landscapes (patios, paving, pool surrounds, decking, etc.).
• Prepare and level sites.
• Learn to use tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Help with planting and basic garden work.
• Follow site safety procedures.

AJ Landscape Construction has been creating outdoor spaces around Geelong, Bellarine and the Surf Coast since 2021. We are a small business and pride ourselves on transforming unused areas into aesthetic and practical spaces for all to enjoy.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated apprentice to join our small but mighty team on a full time basis. If you enjoy working outdoors, like working with your hands, and are keen to learn a trade with real career opportunities while having fun, this could be a bit of you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assisting with the construction of landscapes – think patios, paving, pool surrounds, concrete, decking, retaining walls, garden beds and more
• Preparing and levelling sites
• Learning to use tools and machinery safely and efficiently
• Helping with planting and basic garden work
• Following site safety procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• Someone 's keen to learn and isn’t afraid of a bit of hard work
• A positive attitude and willingness to take direction
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather
• Must be eligible to undertake a Certificate III in Landscape Construction
• No experience, 1st, 2nd or 3rd year apprentices all considered
