Job summary

Direct Recruitment is seeking Land Management / Parks & Gardens Operators for Geelong and Torquay. These are 10‑week temp roles with potential extension, 6.30am–4.30pm, Mon‑Thu (4×10h) or Mon‑Fri (9‑day fortnight), paying $35–$41 per hour.

Applicants should have a Horticulture Certificate 2/3 or proven Parks & Gardens experience, a White Card, Police Check, Working with Children Check, and a reliable car. A Heavy/Medium Truck Licence is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and construction, horticultural and landscape works: mowing, mulching, maintenance of parks, gardens and estates and general beautification of works in the local council.
• Whipper snipping, turf maintenance, brush cutting, lifting, digging, raking, sweeping, shoveling, planting, cleaning and use of hand tools.
• Carry out tasks following OH&S guidelines and company policies in a timely and safe manner.

Main Role / Responsibilities:
Effectively participate in Parks & Gardens teams.
Duties could include: Maintenance and construction,horticultural and landscape works: mowing, mulching, maintenance of parks, gardens and estates and general beautification of works in thelocal council. Plenty of whipper snipping to get ready for the fire season.
Manual handling tasks requiring mowing, whipper snipping, brush cutting, lifting, digging, raking, sweeping, shoveling, planting, cleaning and the use of hand tools.
Required to carry out tasks to company policies in timely and safe efficient manner following OH&S guidelines as instructed.
