Job summary

Virgin Australia is seeking a licensed LAME at Cairns Airport to certify aircraft maintenance under the System of Certification. You will report to the Leader Northern and determine major defects, reporting unsafe conditions and supervising maintenance tasks.

You must hold a B1 CASA licence with 737NG type training and CASR Part 145 HF Initial Training, plus recent QA approvals. The role is based in Cairns with a 4/4 roster and a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid B1 CASA licence.
• 737NG type training is desirable.
• CASR Part 145 HF Initial Training required.
• Relative Difference training may be applicable.
• EGR Training certificates (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Certify aircraft maintenance in accordance with the System of Certification.
• Report to Leader Northern and determine major defects.
• Supervise maintenance tasks and report unsafe conditions.
• Participate in delivering quality services while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Communicate with all levels of the engineering team.
