Job summary

CivilandScape in Sydney is seeking an experienced general labourer to support landscape and civil projects across inner city and outer suburbs. The role requires solid site conduct, clean attire, and the ability to work with foremen and tradespeople.

You will perform day-to-day tasks, assist with walkways, walls, decks, dig trenches, plant gardens, and help move materials safely. NSW White Card holders with at least 3 years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of general labour experience in landscape/civil works.
• Sound understanding of WHSE practices and safe site conduct.
• Current White Card NSW is required.

Responsibilities

• Present well in attire and manner when liaising with clients and public.
• Operate diligently and can work independently unsupervised.

CivilandScape has recently created an opening for an experienced general labourer who has worked in the landscape and civil space or similar. The successful candidate will be working around Sydney’s inner city and outer suburbs providing services to a divers range of projects from high end residential to high-rise city centre commercial projects. CivilandScape are looking for a knowledgeable, well presented and diligent applicant to immediately join our team.

PREREQUISITES

• 3 years’ experience minimum
• Have a sound understanding of WHSE and operate in line with NSW WHSE practices
• Current White Card NSW

THE ROLE

• Present well in their attire and manner particularly when liaising with clients and in front of the general public
• Operates efficiently, diligently and who can work independently unsupervised
• Has good communication skills when liaising with the team and our clients’

• Generally assisting foreman, tradesman and other colleagues with day-to-day tasks
• Clean work areas from debris and other construction materials
• Construct walkways and patios, walls, fences, decks, posts, etc
• Dig ditches or trenches and perform land clearing activities
• Plant and maintain garden beds and lawns
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape
• Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections,
• Lubricating and cleaning machines and tools on a daily basis
• Operate various tools including: chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement
• Equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc

ROLE OFFER

• Working hours are generally between 7:00am and 3:30pm from Monday to Friday with overtime and Saturday when required
• Annual salary will be based on experience
