Job summary

Thorn Baker Group requires a reliable Shop Fit-Out Labourer for a project in Newcastle. You will assist the shopfitting team with general labouring, moving materials and supporting trades on site.

The role demands a valid CSCS card, full PPE and a physically fit nature to handle heavy boards and equipment. Start date is to be confirmed, with parking available on site.

Day shifts run 7:30am–7:00pm at the Newcastle project, with ongoing duties to keep the site clean and safe while work progresses.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or shopfitting labouring preferred.
• Valid CSCS card is required.
• Full PPE provided/required.

Responsibilities

• Carry and distribute plasterboard and other materials around site.
• Unload deliveries and move materials to correct areas.
• Assist shopfitters and other tradespeople with daily tasks.
• Keep site clean, tidy and free from waste.
• Move equipment and materials as required.
• Help maintain a safe and organised working environment.

We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Shop Fit-Out Labourer to join a project based in Newcastle.

The successful candidate will be assisting the shopfitting team with general labouring duties, helping to move materials, unload deliveries and ensure the site runs smoothly throughout the fit-out.

Duties will include:

• Carrying and distributing plasterboard and other building materials around the site.
• Unloading deliveries and moving materials into the correct areas.
• Assisting shopfitters and other tradespeople with day-to-day tasks.
• Keeping the site clean, tidy and free from waste.
• Moving equipment and materials as required.
• Helping maintain a safe and organised working environment.
• Following instructions from site management and adhering to health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous construction or shopfitting labouring experience preferred.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Full PPE.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and carrying boards.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Strong references preferred.
