Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing Australia is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Sample Splitting Officer) for a casual, graduate/entry level role based in Dandenong South, VIC. You will sub-sample and weigh materials, transfer to the prep lab, assist with sample receipt and disposal, and support general laboratory housekeeping.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in technical environments, eager to learn, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, and be a hands-on, practical worker ready to contribute

Qualifications

• General preference and comfort in technical environments.
• Desire to continually learn and improve.
• An entrepreneurial spirit, with an eagerness to take the next step.
• Ability to be a hands-on hard worker and a ‘doer’ with a common sense approach.

Responsibilities

• Sub-sample and weigh subsamples and transfer to the prep laboratory for extraction.
• Assist with sample receipt as necessary.
• Assist with sample disposal.
• General housekeeping and lab cleanliness.
• Use the LIMS priority worklist to determine next jobs and print stickers for containers/subsamples.
