Job summary

Department of Education Victoria seeks a Koorie Education Specialist to strengthen engagement and achievement for Koorie students. You will work with education and community partners to promote culturally inclusive learning environments and support re-engagement initiatives.

You will provide expert advice, coordinate regional programs, and build partnerships with schools, communities and government agencies to advance educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners.

Qualifications

• Specialist knowledge of Koorie engagement and culture within education.
• Ability to develop and manage programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication and collaboration across diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Build constructive relationships with stakeholders to improve engagement and achievement for Koorie children.
• Provide expert Koorie advice to education services on culturally inclusive strategies.
• Coordinate initiatives for Koorie children and monitor program delivery.
