Job summary

Taradale Primary School is seeking an Education Support class staff member to assist with weekly routines, student wellbeing, and classroom coordination. The role supports teachers, communicates with families, and ensures student needs are met within school policy.

The appointed person will assist with planning, supervision, and basic health support, working under supervision and in collaboration with teachers and the school community.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine support for teachers including planning student routines.
• Supports communication between teachers and parents.
• Communicates routine student matters to teachers.
• Provides basic wellbeing support for students.
• Assists students to understand tasks.
• Addresses minor behavioural issues per policy.
• Supervises small groups of students as required.
• Assists coordination of educational programs and rostering.
• Provides medical intervention support under training.
• Provides AUSLAN and braille communication support.
