Job summary

Ovolo Hotels Group in Canberra is seeking a Kitchen Attendant for Monster Kitchen and Bar. You will join our Fabulous Unconventional, Never Boring team, helping chefs prepare food and keep the kitchen running smoothly in a casual, flexible environment.

This entry-level role requires no previous experience, though kitchen exposure is desirable. Bring a can-do attitude and a desire to learn, and you’ll fit right in with our fun, friendly kitchen team within a vibrant hotel group.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with no prior experience required.
• Experience in a kitchen environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the chefs with food preparation
• Safely operate the dishwasher and clean dishes, glassware and utensils
• Ensure the kitchen facilities remain orderly and compliant with sanitation standards
• Maintain kitchen appliances and cooking equipment, and keep stock up to standard
• Remove rubbish and waste from the kitchen premises

The Gig

Responsibilities

Ovolo Hotels is in search of their next Kitchen Attendant to come join our Fabulous Unconventional, Never Boring Team! You will play a vital role in the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations at all time whilst on shift. This is a Casual role and will require flexibility within your availability. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Assist the chefs with food preparation
• Safely operating dishwasher, cleaning restaurant dishes/glass as well as all utensils used within the kitchen
• Ensuring the order and cleanliness of the kitchen facilities up to government and company sanitation standards
• Maintaining all kitchen appliances and cooking equipment, ensuring everything is safely stored away, as well as stock levels are up to standard
• Removal of rubbish bins and waste from the kitchen premises

About You

This is an entry level role with no prior experience necessary however experience in a kitchen environment is desirable. You will have a 'can-do' attitude with a passion and eagerness to learn.
