Cruise Whitsundays, based in Airlie Beach, is seeking a casual Kitchen Hand to join the Catering team. You will help prepare high-quality meals, support daily kitchen operations, and ensure hygiene and safety in food prep areas while assisting with stores and stock control.

The role emphasizes energy, reliability, and the ability to work flexibly, including weekends, with opportunities for progression within Journey Beyond’s experiences and travel brands.

Qualifikationen

• Previous kitchen experience in a fast-paced setting is preferred.
• Knife skills are highly desired to support food preparation.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

About the role

We are currently seeking passionate, motivated and energetic Kitchen Hand to join the Cruise Whitsundays team on a casual basis. This is your chance to create memorable guest experiences by supporting the Catering team to prepare and deliver exceptional high-quality food and assist the day-to-day kitchen operations. In addition to guest satisfaction, this role will involve overseeing hygiene, cleanliness and general safety in food preparation areas and assist with the delivery of stores and stock control.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Help prepare high quality food
• Help maintain high standard of food safety and hygiene – washing dishes, keeping the workspace clean and tidy.
• Assist with delivery of stores and stock control

To be successful in this role, you will have/be:

• The necessary working entitlements to work in Australia with a minimum of 3-month commitment
• Desire to advance your career in the kitchen
• Knife skills (highly desired)

• Proven ability to work autonomously and part of a team
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Impeccable personal integrity
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Ability to manage time effectively, especially under pressure
• Previous experience working in kitchens
