Job summary

Eden Academy Clyde is hiring a Kitchen Hand to join a brand-new family and support meals that nourish children. The role runs 5 days a week, with 3–4 hours per day (about 15–20 hours total), in a bright, modern kitchen environment.

You will assist the chef, keep the kitchen clean and safe, and work collaboratively in a team focused on child health and wellbeing. Ideal candidates hold a Food Handling Certificate, a current Working with Children Check, and have Australian working rights.

Qualifications

• Food Handling Certificate is mandatory.
• Working with Children Check is mandatory.
• Australian Working Rights required.

Responsibilities

• Assist chef in preparing healthy, delicious meals.

• Schedule: 5 days a week (Monday – Friday)
• Hours: 3–4 hours per day (15–20 hours total)

As our new Kitchen Hand, you will:

• Support our talented chef in preparing healthy, delicious meals
• Show commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑organised kitchen environment
• Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a supportive, team‑focused setting
• Play a key role in supporting the health and well‑being of children through nutritious food.
• Build positive relationships with staff, families, and children within the centre community.
