Job summary

SA Health on Kangaroo Island is offering a part-time RN opportunity (0.4 FTE/16 hours per week on a 7‑day roster) across the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. Salary bands for RN/M1 and RN/M2C are provided, with temporary status until 30 June 2027 and flexible working arrangements to suit island living.

You will assess needs, educate patients, mentor staff and contribute to quality improvement while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to mentor students and junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan, implement, or coordinate appropriate care.
• Provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs.
• Support and mentor less experienced staff, students and Enrolled Nurses.
• Maintain professional development and contribute to quality improvement.
