Qualifications

About the opportunity

We are building a squad from scratch, we're looking for multiple engineers across junior, mid to senior level.

The role

You’ll design and build backend services that genuinely matter to the business — not just maintain what's there, but help shape how it evolves. Day to day that looks like:

• Designing, building and evolving scalable backend services and platforms
• Writing software that's built to last — maintainable, reliable, and performant
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices
• Working through technical design problems alongside more senior engineers (great exposure if you're looking to grow)
• Helping the wider team spot and manage technical debt and system risk

What you'll bring

• 3+ years experience with Java and Spring Boot
• A solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices and event-driven architecture
• Experience with messaging/streaming tools like Kafka or similar
• Working knowledge of AWS
• Some exposure to CI/CD and tooling such as Docker, Jenkins or Ansible
