Job summary

Subway Cairns is seeking motivated applicants for casual roles as Subway Sandwich Artist, the face of our restaurants. You will prepare and serve Subway sandwiches, greet guests and deliver friendly, fast service in a busy store.

You should be on your feet, work well in a team, and be ready to learn through Subway training courses. No prior experience required, just a winning attitude and commitment to hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Be active on your feet and able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
• Willing to travel to the listed store; access to your own transport is important.
• Previous experience in food prep, retail or customer service is desirable but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food storage and preparation areas meet health and safety standards.
• Follow the Subway food code and build customer orders at the counter.
• Operate till, monitor stock, and check deliveries.
• Complete daily/weekly cleaning tasks and keep a safe, hygienic workspace.
• Provide friendly service and maintain Subway brand standards.

Skills & Requirements

• You will need to be active on your feet. You must have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• You must be able to travel to the above-listed store. Access to one's own form of transport, such as a car or bike, is paramount.
• Previous experience in food preparation, retail sales and/or customer service is desirable but not essential because you will receive full training and undertake various University of Subway® courses.
• Winning attitude.Desire to serve and add value to customer needs in an efficient and friendly manner, promoting Subway® brand awarenessand ensuring hygiene standards are met.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure food storage and preparation areas are maintained according to Health & Safety and Audit standards
• Comply with the Food Code of Practice
• Till Operator, monitoring stock levels, & checking in deliveries
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules
• Follow security & safety procedures
• Maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers
• Maintain high personal presentation in the provided uniform to meet the Subway® brand and customer expectations
• Work as a team member & deliver a high standard of service when dealing with products, sales and catering for customer needs.
