Job summary

Moonee Ponds Smash Repairs in Melbourne’s Moonee Ponds area is seeking a Panel Beater Apprentice (1st–2nd year) to learn hands-on body repairs under experienced mentors. You’ll gain experience in dent removal, panel replacement and refinishing while progressing your apprenticeship.

This full-time role is based on-site, with on-the-job training, mentorship and clear pathways for career advancement in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be enrolled in a panel beating apprenticeship as a 1st or 2nd-year apprentice.
• Australian citizen or permanent residency status.
• Currently living in Melbourne.
• 16 years of age or older.
• This position is available for full-time apprentices only.
• Willing to commit to completing apprenticeship.
• Driver's license; full-time apprentices must have Ps.
• Basic mechanical skills or relevant experience is a plus.
• Good work ethic and reliable attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior panel beaters with repairs and restorations
• Learn to diagnose damage and prepare vehicles for repairs
• Remove and replace damaged panels
• Use hand tools and spray equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
