Job summary

Bentley is seeking a Junior/Intermediate Accountant to join its Tax & Business Services team in Brisbane. The role offers mentoring from a Senior Manager and exposure to accounting, taxation, and advisory services for a diverse client base.

Ideal candidates have 18 months in Australian public practice, a relevant accounting degree, and an interest in pursuing CA/CPA. Xero experience is preferred, with a modern, team-focused environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months' experience in Australian public practice accounting within Tax & Business Services.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting.
• Interest in CA/CPA qualification and ongoing professional development.
• Experience with Xero or similar accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns and BAS for various entity types.
• Assist with taxation compliance and general business services.
• Liaise with ATO, ASIC and other authorities as needed.
• Collaborate with senior team members to deliver high-quality work and client outcomes.
• Gain exposure to tax planning and business advisory services as experience grows.
