Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
ALM is seeking an entry-level Junior Grounds Maintenance Hand based in Sydney, NSW, to grow into a Future Team Leader role. You’ll start on early shifts with ride-on mowers, receive hands-on training, and progress through a structured path to lead your own crew and operate a company truck.
We invest in your development, offer comprehensive on-site training, and provide a supportive team environment as you build critical skills for leadership in grounds maintenance.
For over 30 years, we have been a trusted premier leader in the professional grounds maintenance industry. Built on secure, multi-year commercial and government contracts, we pride ourselves on our meticulous attention to detail and efficient service. Because our business is secure and growing, we can offer you unmatched career stability and an actual path forward.
Are you energetic, driven, and looking to work close to home for a genuine career path rather than just another job? We are seeking an ambitious, early-career Grounds Maintenance Team Member to join our crew based out of our Gregory Hills depot.
This is a true entry-level position, but we aren't just looking for someone to push a mower. We want to actively invest in your skills, train you to our industry-leading standards, and fast-track you into a Team Leader position where you will eventually run your own crew and operate a company truck.
Great Work-Life Balance: Enjoy early starts and early finishes, giving you your afternoons back.
No Push Mowing – Ride-Ons Only: Forget walking behind heavy push mowers all day. Every team member is allocated their own commercial ride-on mower to use on-site.
Premium, Well-Maintained Gear: Our gear is upgraded and serviced regularly so you can work efficiently without the frustration of using rubbish tools.
Fast-Tracked Career Growth: Go from a crew member to a Team Leader with a clear, structured progression path.
Truck Licence Upskilling: We will support, guide, and help you get your truck licence as you transition into leadership.
Management That Listens: Work under a supportive, hands-on management team that understands the job and listens to feedback.
Optional Saturday Overtime: Extra Saturday work is readily available for anyone looking to pick up additional hours and boost their paycheck.
Great Crew Culture: Join a friendly, energetic, and highly motivated team in a positive work environment.
Working across our premium local sites, you will take pride in:
Precision Grounds Care: Delivering high-standard lawnmowing, edging, brush cutting, snipping, and general garden maintenance.
Commercial Equipment Operation: Mastering the safe use of commercial-grade grounds equipment (with full, hands-on training provided).
Horticultural Upkeep: Executing precise hedge trimming, gardening, weed control, and minor landscaping projects.
Team Collaboration: Working efficiently within a motivated crew to keep local commercial and government sites looking immaculate.
Licence Status: A current car drivers license. A Medium Rigid (MR) driver’s licence is a bonus, OR a genuine willingness to obtain one (essential for your progression to Team Leader).
Work Ethic & Fitness: Physically fit, punctual, highly reliable, and comfortable with outdoor manual work.
Attitude & Communication: A positive, can-do attitude with good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team or independently.
Flexibility: Availability and willingness to work occasional Saturday shifts when required.
