Job summary

Michael Page Australia seeks a Junior Finance Business Partner on a 3‑month contract to support month end, inter‑company reconciliations and insightful reporting. You will develop financial models for planning and forecasting, and partner with stakeholders to drive clarity in financial analysis.

Ideal candidates have strong accounting basics, finance modelling ability, and experience turning data into business insight, with a Chartered background preferred. Hybrid setup available.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting financial data and turning it into business insight.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and financial reporting skills.
• Chartered background with mid-tier or big-four exposure preferred.
• High proficiency in financial modelling, analysis and forecasting.
• Ability to prepare clear financial summaries for stakeholders.
• Experience contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Practical knowledge of accounting principles and compliance.
• Ability to communicate financial performance in plain language.

Job Description

The Jnr. Finance Business Partner will be responsible for:

• Support month end activities & reporting
• Complete complex inter-company reconciliation work
• Analyse financial information to provide clear, practical insight for business decisions.
• Prepare financial reports and summaries that present key results in a clear format.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support planning and forecast discussions.
• Review financial performance against plans and identify key movements for stakeholders.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand financial requirements and provide relevant analysis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities through accurate data review and reporting.
• Improve the clarity and consistency of financial information used across the Accounting & Finance function.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:
