Job summary

Y Community School in Melbourne is opening a brand-new junior campus for year 7–9 in 2027, seeking a Classroom Teacher to help build it. The role offers connection, flexibility and purpose, with a collaborative team and wellbeing focus.

You will design engaging lessons and individualized learning, promote student wellbeing, and contribute to a supportive, growth-oriented environment with smaller class sizes and staff wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education required.
• Current VIT registration as a classroom teacher.
• National Police Check within last 6 months (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience designing and delivering individualized learning programs.
• Understanding barriers to student engagement and promoting positive wellbeing.
• Strong interpersonal skills including communication and problem solving.
• First Aid and CPR current (or willingness to obtain).
• Knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum is highly regarded, not essential.
