Job summary

Perilya Limited in Broken Hill, NSW, seeks an experienced Jumbo Operator for our Underground Mining team. This residential role offers the opportunity to contribute to safe, productive development of our underground mine on a high-performing crew.

You will operate Jumbo drills, perform ground support setup, conduct pre-start checks, monitor conditions, and maintain equipment. Join a team committed to safety, quality, and community in a heritage mining town.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience operating Jumbo drills in an underground mining environment.
• Relevant underground mining and equipment operation tickets.
• A proactive attitude to safety and risk identification.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Jumbo Operator to join our Underground Mining team at our Southern Operations in Broken Hill. This position offers the chance to work as part of a high-performing team, contributing to the safe and productive development of our underground mine.

This is an excellent opportunity for multi-skilled underground miners who are ready to take the next step or further their career in jumbo operation. You’ll play a key role in advancing production targets while maintaining safety, equipment care, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operating Jumbo development drills in line with site procedures and targets
