Job summary

Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) invites applications for a Joint Replacement Fellow to provide high-quality care across inpatient and outpatient services within Orthopaedics. You will build surgical expertise, support junior doctors, contribute to research and help shape better patient outcomes.

The role requires MBBS or equivalent with AHPRA registration or eligibility, and experience in Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent, with AHPRA registration or eligibility.
• Clinical skills suited to Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement.
• Experience supervising, supporting and guiding junior doctors.
• Strong communication, negotiation and complaint resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient and outpatient care across Joint Replacement.
• Lead clinical reviews, audits and quality improvement projects.
• Teach, supervise and mentor junior medical staff.
• Drive designated research projects within Orthopaedics.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.

Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN)

• Royal Adelaide Hospital, Orthopaedic Surgery Team

• MDP2 $99,707 to $158,523 p.a. + super + salary packaging

• Part-time (68.4hrs per fortnight), temporary role for 12 months (July 2028 - June 2029)
• Term of the Contract: 3 years or until working visa expiry date (in line with clause 55 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement). At the end of the temporary role, CALHN will work with the employee to assist find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3-year contract, if necessary.

• Experience supervising, supporting and guiding junior doctors
