Overview

Join to apply for the IWP Delivery Manager - Land role at Downer Professional Services.

This role supports the IWP Program Manager in delivering a Land Integrated Work Program contract based in Melbourne.

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. We are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

Base pay range

A$130,000.00/yr - A$175,000.00/yr

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of IWP contracts, ensuring deliverables, schedules, and compliance are met.
• Develop and implement strategic delivery plans aligned with client goals and resource capabilities.
• Act as a backup to the IWP Program Manager during absences or competing priorities.
• Manage client requests, resource assignments, and supplier engagement, including SMEs and member companies.
• Coordinate onboarding/offboarding, travel approvals, time sheeting, and Commonwealth compliance processes.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of experience in client-facing roles focused on contract delivery and operational execution.
• Strong program management skills with the ability to plan strategically and manage performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building positive relationships.
• Proficiency in resource planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring across diverse teams.
• Familiarity with Defence systems including Office365, DPN, and PMO365.
• Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
• In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be an inherent requirement.
